Our Approach
The writers and staff of The Georgetown View are committed to the idea (and the hashtag) that Georgetown is the greatest city on planet Earth.
Every issue features stories about the most interesting and relevant people and events in Georgetown; plus snapshots about things that will inform, educate and help you live your best life in Georgetown.
Don't miss some of our new content—everything from life hacks to satire. And we also want to know what *you* want to read... feel free to contact us on our web page or on Facebook.
Meet the Team
Our principal writers and production staff live here, work here, and are involved in the community on a personal level
so all the writing we do is personal to us too.
Catherine Payne
Publisher
Cathy, like many of the best in her craft, has a specialized degree—in her case, hard science—and a gift for writing. She found her voice and fulfillment reporting and writing news and magazine features for a regional Central Texas audience.
Charlotte Kovalchuk
Copyditor / Senior Writer
Charlotte has lived in Georgetown for 20 years. She holds a bachelor’s in English and has a background in journalism. She is happy to use her pen to uplift readers with inspiring tales of the life, activities, and people of Georgetown, Texas.
Ann Marie Kennon
Senior Writer, Editor
Ann Marie has been writing, designing, and producing in myriad commercial and community lanes for 30 years. She is pleased to write for a community where people know and care about each other; and the "news" is everything from dog parks to criminal justice.
Linda A. Thornton
Contributing Writer
Linda was born in New York City and lived in many large markets before settling in Sun City in 2018. She has been a writer in various roles throughout her career and is a pubished author. As a regular writer for the Georgetown View, she loves being able to blend others' stories into something that is a reflection of her own.
